CCMK Hospital, a unit Of CCMK Health Care Group founded in 2003 in CCMK Health Care Village is the second largest hospital in Chalakudy, Kerala, India and has emerged as a trusted health care provider, offering high quality personalized care that resonates with patients seeking excellence. CCMK Health Care is pleased to announce the reopening of CCMK Hospital on July 20, 2024, after several months of closure during the post COVID-19 pandemic economic turmoil and monthslong renovation as CCMK Memorial Hospital in memory of our founder late Haji C.C. Mohamed Kasim.

This reopening marks a significant milestone in our recovery efforts and it’s a testament to the resilience of our staff and the unwavering support of our community. We’re excited to resume providing the high-quality care our patients deserve and expect and extends its deepest gratitude to the community and staff for the patience and understanding shown during this challenging time. The hospital has been renamed in 2014 as Kasim Memorial Hospital in honour of its founder and later in 2018 as CCMK Village Hospital as there were changes in the partnership firm. With a legacy of excellence, the hospital which has garnered a reputation for Maternity care had to undergo an unexpected closure during COVID-19 pandemic due to financial pressure and reduced patient volume.

Formerly it was known as CCMK Welcare Hospital [2002], IVGM Hospital [1980], KMM Hospital [1978]. It was opened in the 1978 as the KMM Nursing Home, and was founded by Haji C.C.Mohamed Kassim Rowther.

Salient features:

In the initial phase it will be a 30-bed (Deluxe Single, Standard Single, Double Bedded Rooms) healthcare facility with Multispecialty Clinical Departments consisting of 15 Clinics, 3 Operation theatres, 10 Surgical ICU beds, 3 Medical ICU beds, Well equipped Diagnostic Centre, 24x7 Community Pharmacy, 24x7 Emergency Services, Ample parking for patients and visitors. Major expansion is set for CCMK in the second phase and have completed new critical care building for acute cardiac care, 24 x 7 Cardiac Critical Care unit with 5 CCU beds, a procedure room to perform Echocardiogram, a diagnostic room for minimally invasive procedures, a stress test room with traditional treadmill, Cardiac Day unit & Cardiac Catheterisation lab (Cath Lab).

The CCMK Heart Centre was launched on 31st of December 2024 with the collaboration of Life Care Cardiac Centre headed by eminent consultant interventional Cardiologist Dr. Thomas John. CCMK Health Care Staff is specially trained and prepared for exceptional clinical services and and several medical equipment are being commissioned. We have several projects in the pipeline and we will commence the works for our exclusive maternity wing soon for welcoming new babies.

CCMK Memorial Hospital have an important role to play as First Referral Unit in providing emergency care for acute illnesses and other specialist services and also provide easy accessibility and save the travelling time needing urgent care. CCMK Memorial Hospital is strongly committed to strengthen our health care services by improving the availability of dedicated Doctors and accessibility of affordable quality health services to the people of Chalakudy. In order to improve the quality and accountability of our services we aim to keep a set of standards to underpin the delivery of quality services which are fare and responsive to client’s needs which should be provided equitably and deliver improvements in health and well-being of the population.

Our current effort is to provide all the facilities needed for an acute care and improve the infrastructure to the competitive level and to promote preventive health care.

Objectives:

The overall objective of CCMK Memorial Hospital as a secondary health care hospital is to provide healthcare that is quality oriented and sensitive to the needs of people of Chalakudy catering the needs of our community and surrounding villages and act as first referral care hospital.

The specific objectives are:

To provide comprehensive Secondary Healthcare (Specialist and Referral services) to our community.
To achieve and maintain an acceptable standard of quality of healthcare.
To make the services more responsive and sensitive to the needs of people of Chalakudy and act as the first referral unit for the surrounding solo clinics, polyclinics and nursing homes.

Functions

We provide effective affordable healthcare services (Curative including Specialist services, Preventive and Promotive) for our municipal area and surrounding rural area with their full participation and in co-operation
We function as referral centre for the surrounding clinics.
We run CCMK Heritage Community Clinic as our free clinic programme and provide quality care for those who lack adequate medical and health care alternatives.
We currently offer free clinics in the following specialties:
Geriatric - Primary Care for Elderly Patients above 60 years old
Diabetes – We provide minimum level of care a diabetic person deserves
We also offer free Community Health Screenings during our special days like Founder’s Day, CCMK Day of Service, Hospital Anniversary Day, Health Awareness Days like World Diabetes Day & World Health Day and also conduct checking of Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar, Cholesterol etc as part of screening of life style diseases like Heart Disease, Hypertension, Diabetes, Obesity and certain forms of Cancer responding to community needs and are provided by our Physicians, Nurses and other Healthcare Staff.
We have now introduced CCMK Well Woman Clinic providing a range of primary health care services from family planning, counselling sexual health services and preconception checkups to the management of high-risk obstetrics, infertility care, and Gynec Oncology.
